The management

The company was founded in 2007 by an American (Mr Siri Dyal Khalsa) and a Frenchman (Mr Gondard Antoine), KNG Asia currently also has Belgian and Chinese partners.

The CEO is Mr. Frederic Derbaudrenghien, a Belgian with many years experience in China. Frederic obtained his degrees in Belgium in architecture and international business management with specializations in marketing and post-graduate studies in logistics. A few years later obtained an MBA at UIBE-Beijing in cooperation with Sorbonne-Paris. Frederic is a true multi-lingual multi-entrepreneur.
As an employee he gathered deep experience of the furniture industry (both manufacturing and retailing aspects), to grow into a hands-on entrepreneur, knowledgeable in a wide variety of fields.
Frederic is also Vice President of BenCham (Benelux Chamber of Commerce in China), and Chairman of BiB (Belgians in Beijing).

Ms Wang Qian, managing partner, is a Chinese lady with a French master degree in Intercultural Relations and Governmental Relation. She has worked for several years at the French embassy and with Airbus. She is currently mainly involved in business consulting service aspect of the company. She’s praised for her , outstanding communication and negotiation skills, meticulous administration and rational approach.

 

Paul Nicholson is our finance and M&A specialist, adding an abundance of experience and wisdom. Economic and MBA degrees from Manchester University boosted his early banking career before he setup his own consulting company in the UK and finally arrived in China in 2000 taking up various senior management positions.
Paul is also praised as a “turnaround expert“: restructure troubled companies back to profit. He has such limited period assignments for tens of companies and since 2015 this expertise is more and more required in China where managers lack this skill.

Paul Marcaggi, from France, is still a passionate (part time) doctor but at the same time a vigorous businessman with relations at the top of the French business world and connections to many African leaders.
Paul approaches every project very pragmatically, never happy with less than a successful meeting and always full of energy for the next meeting, anywhere in the world. He’s praised for being able to bring success to projects there were others failed.
Paul also became shareholder a top level lawyers practice in Beijing.

Ing. Kristof De Gersem MSc., Belgian, worked as consultant for KNG Asia since 2013 and partnered up in 2016 to further develop his projects and our business, besides his main occupation as Industrial Engineer for major German-Chinese MNC’s (3^rd party testing-inspection and certification authorities) in the inspection and safety industry. He brings in expertise for industrial projects and brings us “Deutsche Grundlichkeit” in project management, planning and admin. With over 10 years experience in dealing with the Chinese market he knows how to get things done here and brings in a wide network of contacts. Kristof received his Bachelor and Master Degree with honours in Electro-Mechanical Engineering from a famous university college in Belgium (The Catholic University College of Bruges-Ostend KHBO, Belgium).

Danielle, Chinese, is our partner for the apparel/fashion department. She worked for over 10 years as an editor at FHM, one of China’s leading apparel magazines. In 2013 she setup her own business “YES!”, with a founding partner of Baidu, no doubt this App for the fashion industry is a booming success. Her network stretches beyond the fashion brand on to China’s Rich and Famous with whom she often organizes events.

Louisa, from Hong Kong, is our partner for Furniture-HQ, our business development company specializing in the furniture industry. She has achieved jaw-dropping success with her franchise chain-store SILO, which has more than 300 stores in China today.

Siri went back to the US and Antoine moved to Singapore, both are still involved when it can be useful.
